Sound-system culture and hands-on audio engineering as the entry point to STEM, music and real careers: youth build a professional-grade sound system, operate it, earn from it, and follow a direct pathway into unionized live-production work.

    Build · Speaker Building

    Ages 7–18 build a professional-grade sound system from scratch — learning physics, electronics, and acoustics. Components from B&C Speakers; designs from HOQS.

    Ages 7–18 · costs the family nothing
  2. 02

    Operate · Deploy & Mix

    Setup, placement, tuning, phase alignment, and live mixing — signal flow, gain staging, monitors, and soundcheck on a Yamaha DM3-D console.

  3. 03

    Earn · Paid Audio Gigs

    Teens run real system rentals and event support. The systems they built stay at the Club as a revenue-generating asset.

    Ages 14–17 · roughly $100 per event
  4. 04

    Career · Union Pipeline

    Free IATSE crew training, then a paid shadow apprenticeship, then full-time production internships.

    18 and over · $500 a month for six months

You will not find headline numbers on this page — students served, speakers built, cohorts run. We have not published those, so we are not going to print them. What we can show is above: a costed pipeline, two signed letters, one completed pilot and four sites booked for 2026.
